Mistress, I've been away for a long time and stumbled back to the Academy to find my way here I hope that you will forgive me for leaving the fold. It was a time of growth and re-evaluation for me. I find myself I think in much the same position as you might have, as I'm comming to grips with the thought of being a switch rather than the sub I thought I was.
I might come back to the Academy soon but I'm not sure right now as to when. I do miss the times we had together when you first showed up on scene there, seems so long ago.
I hope that you can forgive me Mistress and I would like to ask for any advice you would be willing to give me on being able to make a switch life work.

Hello, Mistress Nev. I was pointed towards this blog by a lady who I believe you know, but I shan't mention her name; and you and I have crossed paths on the Academy.
I have been particularly interested in reading your thoughts about learning to become dominant, having started as submissive; and how you manage your switch nature. I have always believed I had a switch in me, and recently I have been allowing it out - with support and encouragement from my Monsieur. I am submissive to him - and I don't think I could ever dominate a man - but I am dominant towards women (oh - not only, I could submit to some, too, lol) - but as with you, I could never submit to someone I dominate or vice-versa.
I was also really interested to read your article about fear. I'm not sure I really got it - surely fear, purposefully created by the dom, is part of it all? I guess I don't mean emotional fear, as you stated it - the security has to exist, underlying it all. But - fear is a hell of an aphrodisiac!

It was refreshing to read Your description of Yourself. Being raised by a Dominant Father who was very strict, it was so nice to realize that their are Dominants as Yourself that are kind and caring..yet I understand completely the procotols that should always be given..Thank you for renewing my faith that their are caring Dominants in the world.
